A Mission That Rides With Us: Saddles in Service
At Cowboy Coffee, we believe the strength of a community is measured by how we support those who have sacrificed for us. That’s why we are proud to partner with Saddles in Service, a 501(c)(3) non-profit based right here in the heart of our community.
With every bag you purchase, we donate a $1.00 to Saddles in Service. A wonderful local non-profit that is doing great things for our community.
Their Mission is to combat the suicide rates of Veterans, Active Duty Military, and First Responders, and to promote mental health, wellness, and healing to these Heroes through equine-assisted learning and activities.
Veterans, Active Duty Military, and First Responders that have been diagnosed with or are experiencing symptoms related to post-traumatic stress (PTSD), anxiety, depression, job-related stress, and/or traumatic brain injuries are partnered with a horse through their healing journey.
Healing Through the Bond
Saddles in Service does incredible work rescuing and rehabilitating horses—many of whom have been neglected or outlived their “usefulness”—and pairing them with Veterans and First Responders navigating the challenges of PTSD, anxiety, and depression.
We’ve seen firsthand how the quiet strength of a horse can help a hero find their way back to a place of peace. It’s a mission of mutual rescue: the horse finds a home, and the Veteran finds a new trail forward.
